David Grandorge leads Unit 7 of the Master of Architecture at the School of Art, Architecture and Design. His teaching welds overt passion for good design with deep concern in the ongoing climate crisis.

David is an eminent photographer of buildings, cities and landscapes, and has documented globally the work of renowned practitioners including Sergison Bates, Caruso St. John, 6a, Stephen Taylor, Feilden Fowles, and Marie-Jose van Hee. David’s work has been published and exhibited internationally, at events including the Prague (2005) and Venice (2008, 2012, ans 2016) Biennales. He also writes a monthly piece for the Architects’ Journal, the fee for which is donated to support the publication of new and diverse voices.

David’s lecture will present a considered study of Marie-Jose Van Hee’s house on Valkenstraat, Ghent, through a series of his own previously unseen photographs.
