Sampling Berlin
During a weeklong visit to Berlin, the Unit undertook detailed studies and drawn interpretations of physical artefacts, ranging from a broad spectrum of built architectural references. Referred to as Sampling, each of these studies was framed in response to a question or phrase identified within Pier Vittorio Aureli’s “The Possibility of an Absolute Architecture”. These phrases ultimately linked back to wider urban strategies - applicable to the Battersea sites and the ongoing Thesis projects.
These Samples are composed by a combination of drawing, photography and writing, and compiled in the Sampling Book below.
