Thesis

Each student formulated an individual Thesis, specific to their findings from the Battersea surveys, Transcription exercise, and Sampling of Berlin. The Thesis identifies critical issues and conditions to tackle, not only within the project site, but in relation to wider cultural, social, political and physical conditions in the city.

The Thesis is articulated through a proposed programme of public and educational use. Lightness and Weight are explored in the spatial, tectonic and formal resolution of these public building proposals, with the aim of effecting wider urban change from the scale of the singular project.
