Miya Gaia Cotterill

Miya’s work explores nature’s archetypal codes that exist throughout the universe and the collective unconscious. Miya focuses on nature’s self organising mathematical structures and meandering organic forms that seem to be at the very foundations of the universe. She explores the interplay of the organic and geometric in harmonious or contrasting ways; highlighting the connectedness, polarities and the archetypal symbolism these two worlds represent. The organic as Chaos and the geometric as Order, Miya is interested in how these elements exist within each other, inform one another and how the balance between the two is a fundamental of reality.
