I am interested in, and curious about the concept of creation by destruction. Currently I am working in paint, using a sheet of metal as canvas. I make abstract paintings using acids, chemicals, acrylic and oil paint, in order to distress, age and rust the metal. The erosion and chemical reactions take on new forms, creating unpredicted colourful paintings.

During this process, time is important. The chemical reaction determines the colours I am going to get in my paintings. During the time the chemicals and painting settle, a beautiful transformation happens, with the beautiful and colourful abstract pictures that result as a form of recording of the process.
