Community projects in the context of Covid19: engagement alongside distancing
Liveness 2020 (Archive)
Here at Projects Office we’ve been gathering a diverse range of exciting new projects to launch for the next academic year. Suddenly these projects will all provide additional challenges given the requirements on physical (rather than ‘social’) distancing.
Aldgate’s winter fair is a particular example where diverse local communities come together at preparatory events, the lantern parade and festival on Aldgate Square. It’s an energetic, colourful and noisy event that currently the publicity doesn’t represent. City of London Community Engagement team have asked us to provide a visual communication strategy that represents this series of engagements.
We don’t know exactly how the fair and it’s workshops will run this year, but the message of highlighting all the communities of Aldgate in their educational, domestic, caring and commercial roles will continue to be celebrated, no matter what format that takes. Bring on a brand that rejoices those communities!
